     Peter F. Burnham, former president of Brookdale Community College resigned from his position in February 2011 amid allegations of financial wrong-doings, despite his $216,000 a year salary, which included such perks as a country club membership and tuition assistance for his two sons to attend other colleges.

Roadway Connecting Lots 1 And 7 Possible

      The Board of Trustees has approved spending $313,000 to explore whether a road should be constructed connecting parking lots 1 and 7.
     The plans calls for creating a loop through all of the parking lots and possibly providing additional parking spaces.  
     To connect these lots the school would have to remove the railroad tracks that separate the two lots.

     Frank Lawrence, the athletics and recreation director at Brookdale Community College, was placed on paid administrative leave March 22, 2011 after he had been accused of mishandling last year’s Shore Conference Tournament proceeds by paying himself and staff members in cash and not withholding taxes.
