     “I need a cigarette!” was the desperate wail of a student stomping through the lobby as she left a class last week. 
     It was obvious that she upset as she punched a number in her cell phone and called someone complaining about how her professor was mean and she just needed to smoke as some form of release. Seeing this is what motivated me to write this article, and share with you, effective ways of dealing with stress while in college.

     Alex Costantino, second-year Brookdale Community College architecture major, is about to embark on the ride of his life.  
     Costantino, along with his band, The Architects That Built Mars, are to begin recording their first full-length album in Spring 2013. Elements of the album, as described by Costantino, are said to be best explained by one word: madness. One may liken their sound to a mesh of The Chariot and Vampire Weekend.

Local Act ‘Halogens’ Emerging Onto The Scene

   Halogens, a band from Wall Township, is emerging onto the local music scene.  After many shows at historic Asbury Park venues, along with the support of their growing fanbase, they decided to release their  EP “Can’t You Fly?,” which is free for listening and download at halogensmusic.bandcamp.com.

     For the second time this season, a Jersey Blue has been tabbed Garden State Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. On January 28th, freshman David Rosado (Saddle River Day HS) was a monster from the floor as the road-warrior Jersey Blues continued their undefeated streak, going 3-0 on the week.  Thanks in part to Rosado’s 17.6 ppg average, the top-ranked Blues remain undefeated against the Region XIX competition.
