International Education Center Winterim and Summer 2011 short-term programs

September 20, 2010 by admin

Each year, the International Education Center hosts a series of faculty-led, short-term study-abroad programs during the Winterim and Summer terms that last anywhere from nine to 17 days.

Programs, led by Brookdale faculty, take students outside the traditional classroom and allow them a first-hand look at the history and culture, which often times is only portrayed through lectures and textbooks. Students can earn three to four credits, and some programs may also include service-learning opportunities.

These programs are open to both students and community members 18 and older. Acceptance to the program is determined by the order in which applications are received. Winterim and Summer 2011 short-term programs include: Ghana; Mexico; Germany and Switzerland; Germany, Poland and Czech Republic; Prague and Vienna; and Rwanda.

The Elaine Baran Scholarshipis available to students who qualify. For additional information, please contact us at, or stop by our office located in MAC 114.
