Comedic Royalty Will Be Coming To Brookdale

     Comedic royalty will be gracing Brookdale next month. Comedian D.L. Hughley best known as the star from the sitcom The Hughleys and as one of the four comedians featured in the Spike Lee film “The Original Kings of Comedy,” will perform at Brookdale’s spring 2012 comedy show.
      Hughley’s comedic resume also includes hosting CNN’s “Hughley Breaks the News,” the second season of HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” reality show “SOB: Socially Offensive Behavior” on BET, “Weekends at the D.L.” on Comedy Central and a radio personality for a local New York City radio station.
     “I have no idea who he even is, but I would go see him,” said Elizabeth Rizzo, 19, a fifth-semester nursing student from Jackson
when asked if she would go see the comedy show.
     “I used to watch his show so that sounds like it could be a good time,” said John Lazar, 22, a fourth-semester communiversity student from Matawan.
     The show will be held on Thursday April 26 at the Robert J. Collins Arena of the Lincroft Campus. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8.
     Tickets can be purchased now in advance at the Warner Student Life Center information desk or by calling 732-224-2500.
     Tickets are $5 for students with a valid student ID and $15 for staff and community.
     For the convenience of all guests, the Student Life and activities strongly suggests all guests should park in Lot 1 and use the campus
path to get to the arena.
     This comedy show will not  be censored and may contain adult content so
it might not be suitable for young audiences.
